I EBF for a year-- then continued at wake up and bed times til she was about 15/16 months. Towards the end, it was just habitual for her-- and she self weaned.

at 4 months I stopped, it became too time consuming for me, I was getting stressed over it.

With DS I was down to 2 nursings (1 in morning and 1 before bed) by his first birthday. I dropped the last 2 sessions over the course of a few weeks. He was fully weaned by 15 months.

I'm starting the process now at 11.5 months so we can finish up some time in her 12 month. As of yesterday, I'm still BFing in the morning and night. She seems to be dropping her mid-morning feeding on her own and she gets whole milk in the late afternoon. I'll probably keep morning and night going for a while longer.

DD is 12.5 months and I'm trying to wean her now, but it's a slow process. We're down to 3-4 nursings a day (morning, before morning nap, before afternoon nap, and sometimes before bed). I *think* she'll be weaned in another month or so.

still going strong at 17 months! It's more of a habit and comfort for her at this point, because she's fine when I'm not around, but I can't bear to tell her "no" quite yet.
