when did you stop using baby shampoo on your dc's hair?
Dd got a haircut yesterday and the woman cutting it basically made me feel horrible and told me I ruining her hair (it looks fine to me!) by making it too dry and brittle and should use "adult" types for mositurizing now....
I didn't know....we still use the all in one johnson and johnson stuff...its jsut easy so we don't have to worry about soap in her eyes....
am I the only silly mom out there? (or where would I have found this out?)

I still use Aveeno baby wash and DS is 21 months. I've never heard of baby shampoo ruining their hair, their really nothing in it

DD's were about 3 when I stopped !! There is nothing wrong with it ,its shampoo !! Just add some conditoner if it seems dry !!

My mother used Johnson's baby shampoo on her 4 kids until we were like 10.

2 1/2 and still using it.
We do use conditioner a couple of days per week though

Marron is 2.5 and we still use it. Her hair is smooth and shiny. Doesn't seem dry to me at all. But I also don't wash it every day.

Nate is 3.5 and I still use it. I also use Sauve for kids conditioner.

thanks i will have to buy conditioner....we have detangler we use when needed but just were doing shampoo until now.....

L'oreal makes a kids shampoo - Smoothies- its great I use it on my 7 yr old AND my 1 yr old. Sham/Cond. all-in-1 is also available. I find it cleans better then "baby" shampoo. Smells great too!

never thought about it. She's 2 and a 1/2 and we still use J&J but now that I read this I am wondering about this. her hair doesn't seem as healthy as it used to but I thought it was b/c I started blow drying b/c of how cold it is. Wonder if it's the shampoo?

i figured it was static from her coat (it seems to get a little frizzy when she would wear her cost and sit in her britax and move aorund....tonight we tried a moisturizing shampoo and conidtioner 2 in 1 by loreal that I had in the closet and it looks a little better, but who knows???
