Good question 
I just assumed they always needed to be burped... Still at 4 months, I am still burping him because if I don't he gets really fussy.

I dont do it as much as I did when she was little, but I still burp Julia after she eats sometimes. I guess its out of habbit.

I just remember stopping when he could burp by himself. I think once he could sit up by himself was arounf the time.

I think for us it was somewhere around3-4 months. She just burps automatically after finishing her bottle now.
