When did you start wearing maternity clothes? (sorry if this has been asked before)
I stumbled into Destination Maternity  ... but I felt so out of place because I'm only around 5weeks! 
So, at how many weeks does the average person start wearing maternity clothes? The people at the store said it's different for everyone and it's whenever your clothes start to feel uncomfortable-- but when exactly is that?
I'm trying to think ahead and I know once the middle of July comes, all the fall stuff will be out and what if I end up wanting maternity clothes on August?

Wow I didn't even think about what would be in the stores when I go shopping. I am 13 weeks and still in my regular clothes.

Yea I worked in a clothing store in college and I remember them always being a season ahead. By July 4th they had their fall stuff out. It was depressing  Anyway, that's the only reason I'm conscious of it.. That, and I am weirdly excited to make the crossover into maternity stuff

I am 16 weeks today and I'm actually wearing maternity pants for the first time. If you were to look at my album, you'd probably be like  that I lasted this long! I am one who loves the Bella Band though. For my first pregnancy, I think I probably wore my first pair around 14 weeks.
I think most people don't need shirts until the 2nd trimester...unless you wear a lot of button downs, I guess. I haven't worn any maternity shirts yet.
Everyone's different though...
You're off for the summer, yes? You could probably get away with yoga pants and cute skirts/sundresses. If not, can you borrow summer stuff just in case...especially if you will only need them for a couple of weeks possibly?

I'm 10w today and I'm having trouble buttoning my jeans, but I'm way too small for maternity clothes. When I spoke to my mom today, she said she was wearing them by 6 weeks. Everyone is different.
eta: Stores (online and real ones) look like they sell maternity clothes for different seasons all the time. I wouldn't worry about it.

First pregnancy I started wearing pants as early as 10 weeks, or doing the rubberband through the button hole. I was in maternity pants for good around 13-14 weeks. Shirts I could wait a few more weeks than the pants. This time was earlier but i am having twins.

I just stated to wear them this week and i am 14 weeks. But its true everyone is differnt. My girlfriend didnt start wearing them till she was 19 weeks and my cousin was in them at 10 weeks so it all depends on when u feel u need something more suitable to ur comfort level. Good Luck

I would have to think that maternity stores would have the clothes for the season that is current b/c women have no idea how big they would be.
I'm almost 10 weeks and have been sticking w/ leggings and the Be band I got at target. I am hoping that soon I can get away w/ nice long summer dresses that I already own. The last thing I want to do is wear tight regular pants.
anyway, I say whatever you are comfortable in is a go!

im 15 weeks and just started to wear maternity pants. shirts still fit fine. For work i wear dresses and skirts, still in my normal size.
i need a bathing suit and am having the same problem- i need to get one before all the summer clothes are gone but i have no idea how big i'll be in july

at 12 weeks i was still wearing my regular bottoms with the bella band, but since my boobs grew huge like over night i was wearing regular tops just in bigger size. by 16/17 weeks i was in maternity. but its true everyone is different. i know people who wore regular clothes till 6months.

I think I was either 14 or 16 weeks that I started to wear maternity pants. My mom bought me some shirts at that time, but I wore my regular shirts until they got noticeably tight.
I was not too shy to wear maternity...as soon as my pants hurt my waist, I switched. I was fortunate to carry very small until about 24 weeks.
Now I feel like a Giant Whale

i started really early bc i was tiny before i got pregnant. my pants stopped fitting me around 5/6 weeks so i bought a larger size. then, around 10/11 weeks, i was in maternity pants and haven't looked back!
ETA: I am also having twins though

The maternity stores stock mostly the current season because it's clients aren't usually shopping for the future season.
I started wearing maternity pants in my third month with pregnancies 1 & 2, but not until my 4th-5th month with this one. Maternity tops weren't until later for all of my pregnancies.

Started wearing the BeBand at 5w and switched over to maternity pants at 10w.

By about 12 weeks I switched over to maternity jeans/pants. My regular pants still fit but they felt like were pressing into my stomach too much. The tops took a little while to look and fit right. Probably closer to around 16 weeks or so for the tops to fit well.

First pregnancy at 10 weeks, this time at 7 weeks.
I'm a whiny mess when I'm uncomfortable so I jumped in early. I probably should have just bought regular clothes a size up (the first time) because they would have come in handy after I gave birth to DD, before I started to lose the weight.

I am going on 12 weeks and i am still walking around with my pants unbuttoned.. and the occasional BeBand (when im in the mood to fight with it). I am hoping to wear mostly dresses this summer and buy one or two pairs of maternity pants in a month or so.. we will see..

I'm 11wks and find my clothes tighter but I can still get them on. I am so uncomfy mostly because I feel fat!  I'm thinking maybe I should buy a few pairs of pants up a size before I get maternity...not sure though...I hate feeling so big and it's not only in the belly...my thighs too
