twins are 6 months and we have been using the double snap and go since they were born and they love it

we are going to the racetrack on Sunday and i was thinking of breaking out the double citi mini just so they are not in the hot car seats and it's a diff scene for them

is 6 months too young for it?

Re: when did you retire the snap n go

I heart the snap-n-go! DD is 7.5 mos and we are still going strong. I swore I wouldn't be one of those people that used their snap-n-go till their kid was 9 mos but its just so easy. DD is getting heavy and it is hard to lift the carseat bit whatever!

Anyway I also have a BOB and use it for runs and walks and started putting her in it around 5-6 mos. As long as they have good neck control it should be ok!

Hold onto the snap n go as long as you can!!! If I could put my 18 month old twins still in it, I would!!!Chat Icon so much easier to transition when they are sleeping, etc.

I think I retired mine when they were about 10 months, but prob should have done it at 9. The only reason I did bc whichever one was in the back I had to move his legs so it wouldn't get crushed by the front one, so he wound up sitting like a frog in his carseat.

Yeah, in this weather I prob would break out the citi mini. They will prob love the different point of view. No, 6 months is def not to too young to use it. Have fun!

I used it until my ds outgrew the infant car seat. I also had a travel system stroller I used for walks or outings but primarily used the snap and go

Re: when did you retire the snap n go

The only issue I have is that the baby on the back gets smooshed feet in the stroller. I think I need to move the bars a bit.

But we always use the regular stroller for walks.

You don't have to retire the snap n go in order to use the other stroller! I use both, for different reasons. Snap n Go is for in and out of the car things, like the grocery store. Ciity Mini is for longer walks, tougher terrain, etc.

ETA: My LO is 7.5 mos, and I've been using the City Mini since she was 10 or 12 weeks.

We use both depending. DS is 4 mo and we just started using our double city mini. We kept him flat though, I don't think he is really ready to sit up with so little support.

I used it until DD was just over a year. I miss it! I did use the city mini here and there before that starting around 4 months. I used it in the mall or places that I thought DD would be happier being able to see out but I always missed the storage and maneuverability of the snap and go!

Re: when did you retire the snap n go

We probably retired the snap n go around 9 months. We found that DD was just happier in the city mini because she could see everything. We may have used it occasionally after that for quick errands. Now, we just changed to the convertible car seat at 11 months, so it is fully retired, although we really haven't used it in weeks.

We started using the City Mini at around 6 months for certain things, and then gradually more frequently.

Re: when did you retire the snap n go

With my twins I used both from the beginning. If few were going for a walk I used the bumbleride. If we were running into the store I used the snap and go. I retired the double snap and go officially when they were not having being strapped in in that position.

With the twins we retired the snap n go at around 11 months because DS got too tall. With this baby, we retired the snap n go around 6 months but I was switching between the snap n go and city mini stroller since he was about 2 or 3 months old.

DS is 4 months old and we use both! I find for quick trips with the car, I use the snap n go. But, it's SOOOOOOO hot in the car seat, so I've been using the city mini for outside walks in the warm weather.

I used the Snap and Go as long as they were in the infant seat (10 mos for DS 1, 7 mos for DS 2).

I would use the City Mini this weekend though - 6 months is the perfect age.

Re: when did you retire the snap n go

Now, she hates the infant car seat so i rarely use it. We are getting the Britax B Ready today because she also hates facing out.
