When did you do CIO? Would you start CIO when your DS is teething?

I want to CIO with 5m old DS. I know he is teething big time though. He also has a cold right now. Not sure if it is a bad time to CIO. I know most ppl sleep train at 4-6 months old.

I did it at 5 months but I'd wait until the cold was over if I were you.

If you can see teeth about to come through I would not do CIO. If you think he is just starting to teeth, you can give Tylenol for any pain you think he has and do CIO. I'd never do it during a cold though. We did CIO with DS at 5 months, and it worked really well. Good luck!

We did it close to 5 months as per my ped To get her to fall asleep on her own.

As for a col, I probably wouldn't start it yet, but my dd cries herself to sleep every night. She won't let me rock her or rub her so she goes in her crib and cries to sleep. She has always done this, it's just her thing. So whether she is sick or not she cries herself to sleep.

As for teething, they are always teething so you can't wait for all their teeth to come in. I would give tylenol or motrin, if you think he needs it and go for it. I don't mean to sound mean
