CIO and teething

For the last 2 nights we have been trying to do CIO with my boys. My one son Alex gets up several times a night mainly for his binky or just some soothing. Both boys usually put themselves to sleep but wake up all throughout the night. The first night A woke up and we let him CIO for 13 min. and then he put himself to sleep. He then woke up again and after 10 min. put himself back to sleep. This is big for him. He did wake up all through the night but was able to sooth himself back to sleep. My dh did give him his binky 2x b/c he was putting his hands in his mouth and then tried to put my dh arm in his mouth so he figured it was teething pain. Last night, Alex woke up @ 9 and after 7 min. put himself back to sleep. Then at 11 woke up and after about 10min. put himself back to sleep. All through the night he kept waking up. We checked him w/ out him knowing and let him cry. He would put himself back to sleep. However, about 2x my dh gave him the binky again b/c of his teeth. Both boys are teething so bad. Marco does not wake up as much as Alex. Will his waking up decrease if we keep letting him CIO. I know its only been 2 days but I feel like his waking should have decreased. I am proud that he is soothing himself b/c he never did that before but it is hard to hear him cry through the night. Especially that they are still in my room. Please tell me it gets better.

ds has nights in which he keeps waking up... i find it is teething realted and you cant do anything about that... when the teething isnth bad he sleeps though no problem
