When did you decide to see RE?
When did you decide it was time to see an RE? How long after TTC? Can you please recommend yours?
I went off the pill 7 months ago and we have been trying since the fall. My cycles started becoming irregular, (30-60 days). Over the past couple of months they have started becoming more regular.
My only concern is that my GYN did not seem concerned at all. She told me to call her if my cycles continue on the long side, 60 days etc. I saw her this week for my annual and she told me my irregular cycles are caused by my body trying to figure out when to ovulate. She also said I should try not to stress b/c then I won't ovulate! It's so hard not to stress when you can't help think something is wrong. She didn't do any blood work. Am I over analyzing things. Any advice will be great. Thanks ladies!

Re: When did you decide to see RE?
I went to a RE after 6 months of TTC. Most women probably wait longer but I was getting very anxious and discouraged. I also had 2 irregular cycles (around 40 days long) during those 6 months which made me concerned. Being in my 30's was another reason for me to not want to wait. It's a hard decision but all I can say is go when you feel ready and not when your gyn tells you. I go to LI IVF and see Dr. Brenner.

Re: When did you decide to see RE?
I was 38, tried naturally for 3 months, then tried Clomid with my OB for 3 months and then went to an RE.

Sorry, after reading your whole post...go to an RE asap or at least fing another GYN. She's wrong, normal cycles are back in sync within a couple months. If your cycles are longer than 30/32 days, you are a candidate for PCOS. I would definitely have it checked out by someone else. Bloodwork and an internal sono would answer any questions.

Re: When did you decide to see RE?
I was 38 when I started. Doc told me to give it 6 months (but to let my body adjust for 3 months after going off BCP). My DH has a wonderful outlook on life, but we actually fought after 6 months about it (he wanted to wait of course) then 6 months go by b/f I made the HSG appointment. So, it was a year by the time I finally saw my first RE. I did get PG after the test, then MC a month later, then they did laproscopy/hysteroscopy....more time. So, i guess I'm saying the sooner you see one the better. I'm now going to be 40 next month and it's really freaking me out.
They should be doing blood work. And they can give you meds to O. And it also depends on your age. If you are under 35 they say to give it a year, but it you are not regular then that coudl be a problem.
