When did you buy first shoes?
Related to the where do you buy shows question. When did you buy your child's first shoes? Did you wait until they showed signs of walking?

They should be walking full time before wearing any shoes. Not taking a few steps, not cruising, but full on walking.
per my ped this is best for their developing feet.

When DS was evaluated for PT, the therapist said the same thing. I was putting sneakers on him since he was a year old approx., but he didn't walk until 17 months... and once he was evaluated & I had him walking around the house barefoot I really feel like it helped him a lot to feel the floor under his feet.
So next time I'll wait to put shoes on until the baby can walk around the house, not just cruising.

When did you buy first shoes?
We never had shoes until DS was walking. It was winter but he just wore socks and we still carried him places so they weren't needed.

We didn't use actual shoes until they were walking a month or so. For DS 1 - he just wore socks until then and for DS 2, he wore Robeez.

DS got his first pair of shoes when he started walking so that he could walk outside/in public. At home, he never wore shoes. It's better for kids to learn to walk barefoot.

We did the same :)
He developed barefoot for as long as possible.
Then I found soft soul shoes on Etsy that mold to the feet and mimic barefoot walking so we did that for a long time.
The ped loved it because it was literally like barefoot walking.
So, I'd recommend those.
