When did everyon tell their parents....
Sorry for the 8 million questions...but DH and trying to figure out if we should wait to tell parents or not....
I just got my BFP. We're seeing all the family this weekend because of passover and I'm an only child and it's both sides first grandchild....I want to tell them right away and DH wants to wait until the first sono

we waited until the 3 month mark. My husbands family aren't the best at keeping secrets so they were told when everyone else could know too!

I told my mom and dad the same day I got a BFP. We stupidly told my MIL later that week, but she is the biggest freaking mouth in the world and even though we told her that it was SUPER EARLY and that our first sono was not a good one, she told everyone in dh family and I wanted to kick her a&&!!! I say Play it by ear, if you know that one set of parents are better at keeping their mouths shut then tell them but if the other can't then DONT tell them until you are ready to spill the beans to everyone

We waited until our first sono at 8 and a half weeks. It was very hard to do since it is also the first grandchild for both sets of our parents. It's really a personal choice for everyone.

See my mom is very supersititious so I know she wont' tell everyone, I'm pretty sure his parents won't tell either...UGH!!!! I can't keep a secret for the life of me!!!! It's sooo hard for me!!!!

We told our immediate family one week after our BFP on Easter. They were all VERY good about keeping the secret until we were ready to tell.

I didn't want to jinx it
I wanted to wait for the 3month mark because I kept worrying over how hard it would be to say I lost the baby after knowing how happy they'd all be.

We told my parents on Easter- I was almost 9 weeks. We told DH's family when I was almost 11 weeks along. My MIL guessed when I was only 5 weeks and we confirmed it but made her keep it secret! I had a m/c in Nov. so I really wanted to wait as long as possible to let the cat outta the bag.

DH and I made the mistake of telling our immediate family (moms, dads, siblings) that I was pregnant at 8 weeks. Well I had my 3rd m/c at 10 weeks and MIL threw it in our faces and told us we never should have said anything to anyone because it was still too early. This is the women who made us call the grandparents that same day to tell them that we were pregnant.
When I got pregnant with DD we told my parents at 12 weeks, DH's parents at 13 weeks and siblings at 15 weeks and everyone else around 20 weeks.
This pregnancy we told everyone at 8 weeks because I am already starting to show. I now have been living with a knot in my stomach because my IL's know already.

My parents were in the middle of eating dinner when I ran to their dinner table and threw the test on the table. 2 people crying with lasagna hanging from their mouths....it was pretty funny.

My first PG I waited until the first sono at 8 weeks, told her the next day and m/c @ 12 weeks. No regrets telling her, I needed her through that difficult time.
This time, I told her about an hour after I POAS @ 4 weeks and nthings are going great!
It doesn't matter. You tell when you are ready

I'm seeing my family this weekend for Passover too. My family isn't great about keeping secrets. I also have a feeling if I tell them, they will try to pressure me to tell other family members, which I'm not ready to do yet. As of now, we'll probably wait until the 3 month mark.

we told our parents right away (2 days after we found out). i am the kind of person who cannot keep things a secret, and i would have wanted my parents to know if, god forbid, something had happened.
we told our grandparents and sisters two weeks later.

I told my parents the day I POAS and got BFP. We waited to tell my MIL until I was 7 weeks and we saw a heartbeat. But most of my family still doesn't know, I'm waiting until after my 12 week ultrascreen.

We told them after our 8 week sonogram. We wanted to tell them so much sooner, but we decided to wait until the pregnancy was confirmed, the sack was there and we saw the flicker of the heartbeat.
