When did car leases get so EXPENSIVE????????
I'm trying to find a good-sized sedan and I'm having the hardest time.
Everything is over $400/month! I might as well buy something.
Anyone get a good deal recently??????

Since the economy collapsed in 2008.
Nauseating, isn't it.
DH and I will most likely buy his next car instead of leasing. Too much money down is required to get any kind of a good lease deal, and I'd rather have that money go towards equity.

DH and I will most likely buy his next car instead of leasing. Too much money down is required to get any kind of a good lease deal, and I'd rather have that money go towards equity.
We ended up financing our current SUV in 2009 because the leasing options were astronomical. Our curent truck would have cost us nearly $700 a month with $$ down if we went with a lease.

Leases were adjusted to reflect dimished resale values
Dealers were getting swamped with returns that only sold at auction so they had to up their rates. Blows big time

I was contemplating a finance sin leasing is almost the same $$$$.
I refuse to put any $ down on a lease so the payments are nasty. Why would I put $ down on a lease??????? And the salepeople look at ME like I have 10 heads.....

I totally agree - put down $4k on a lease - no freakin way. That's towards equity.
GMC is offering 0% on some of its models including the Acadia, Ford was at 1.9% for the Explorer.
DH's lease isn't up until October, but we are starting to look at what is out there, either a crossover or a smaller SUV.

I just leased the nissan rogue and pay under 300 per month with nothing down nothing at the end  I love it!!

It is crazy, I got a fully loaded Maxima in April for $340 a month with $$ down. I thought that was a good deal compared to what I looked at out there.

They definitely do. We leased an Accord EXL about a month ago and our payments are just under $300. We paid the taxes up front (about $1000) and Honda made the 1st months payment.

we leased a Camry last April.
215 a month, 2K down for 36 months with 15K a year
This was obviously BEFORE the recall, but I love Toyota. We leased the 2006 as well and bought at the end of our lease...we saved 2K this way and our payments were 207 a month.

This.
It doesn't help that there is still this stigma that "buying used is bad because maintenance will exceed the cost of a new car payment".
So there is lots of used inventory.

Maybe Acura, Audi or BMW.
