when can babies have water?

i wanted to give my son Mylicon with some water but I dont know if he's too young for water.

MIL and i have been giving DD water for about 6 weeks now. She is 7 months.

I don't think you are supposed to give water until 6+, ideally not until after that.

Water can make babies think they are full when they are not and it can also do damge to (I think) their kidneys

I gave it when both my DCs started getting table food....6-8 mo old. I gave it in a sippy cup to begin to learn how when they got meals..so they associated water with meals

i've been doing the same although at 9 months she still cant figure the sippy cup out so she doesnt get much water..

I would give a tablespoon of boiled water to the baby every now and then at 2 weeks. It helped with gas and helped with digestion. I BF my DS.

For more than that, I waited till he was 6 mths.

My ped said not till 6 months. That is when we started offering him water in a sippy cup. We never gave water in a bottle.
