When can...

When can my baby girl hear me??? We want to start playing music on my belly but when can she hear me?

I read that a baby in the womb can usually hear around 18-24 weeks.

Yes, I believe it is around 5 months. Just as an FYI though- during my last pregnancy, I read a lot about how dangerous it can be to play music directly up to your belly. Because liquid is a great conductor of sound, all the amniotic fluid surrounding the baby amplifies everything he/she hears. So playing music directly up to your belly can be potentially damaging to their tiny forming ear canals/eardrums. It is suggested instead that you just play music from speakers as if you were just listening to it, and they baby will hear it as well as you do!
