I got my DDs a pink Karaoke Machine for $36 on Amazon Lightening Deals last week and then the Frozen Karaoke CD for $8- you should keep looking out for sales- you can do better and if it doesn't have Frozen on it it will last for years (not that she can't use it once Frozen is "over"- but it makes it more versatile)

5 year old is getting a skateboard (god help me)
3 year old a iPad mini (his brother got his a few years ago)

Also under the tree are an easel (3 y/o) and air hockey table (5 y/o) ............

and the 5 y/o is convincinng DH to build him an ice rink in my backyard ..........- my 80x100 backyard in Nassua County .........Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thinking of getting an air hockey table. Which one are you buying? My parents have foosball at their house and dc love it.

Beats headphones for 7yo. Beats Pill for 9yo. Electric scooters for both. Thinking of kitchen for 3yo and 1yo but I am afraid they won't use it so I might just forget it. They are happy with cars, trucks and trains.

What's your

Most of what I got will be 'wow' items. I got the Melissa & Doug lemonade stand/grocery store. With that they're getting the M&D shopping cart, plus a hand basket, fake food, cash register, pitcher & glasses, etc.

I am picking up a puppet theater w/ puppets from someone this weekend.

I got a plasma car for them to share.

Go for the ice rink...my inlaws built one last winter in their backyard (granted its on over an acre) and its totally amazing...it's lit up and they have a fire pit next to it...we spend so much time out there skating!

My DD will be 7 months. Her wow gift is Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Learning Home.

18m old dd got hers at Christmas last year. Its still the one toy she plays with everyday.

That is great to hear. I am so excited for her to open it and to have a new toy to play with. Even I am sick of what we have! LOL

This toy is still a big favorite in our house. dD played with it for 2+ years and now DS likes it.

Hands down the best toy we ever got. I have a 4 year old and a 15 month old. My 4 year old got it when he was one and played with it for 3 years, he still plays around with it sometimes. My 15 month old plays with it all the time now. I don't know why, but it has been the number one toy in our house!

I have no idea. Is that bad? Chat Icon Chat Icon

No because I don't do a "wow" present
DD gets so excited over every single one of her presents. She will freak out over a play doh set.
I don't see the need to find a specific "wow" gift.
If something she happens to want or I want to get her turns out to be a big ticket item so be it, but I don't go in saying, I need one wow gift and the rest smaller gifts.
Not my strategy.

This!
We avoid 'wow' gifts honestly because there's too much expectation and build up. She's grateful for all the stuff. Its more of a numbers game. She loves going through her stocking which is filled while she sleeps and nothing is wrapped. So I guess that's her 'wow'.

Haha

My kid's "WOW" moment is when we finish trimming the tree and I turn on the lights for the first time. She loves it!

Last year we got her a Cinderella jewelry box because she wanted it from Disney. It was $20. She adored it. This year I think we are buying a used TMNT game for her to play and taking her to the movies maybe? We have no plans to buy her ANYTHING right now at all. hahaha probably some more Cinderella junk but only because I intend to clear out even MORE of the junk in her room.

She knows this time of year we donate for those less fortunate before gifts are given.
