Whats your typical date nite?

(trying to keep the topics flowing on here to outnumber the drama! )


When you have days off together or the wknd comes, what kind of a "date nite" do you have with your DH? During the week its pretty much dinner then tv for DH and I - so when the wknd comes I like for us to go out and do a little something.

If its just us -- we are both huge movie buffs so seeing a flick and stocking up on snacks is a good time.

What do you consider your typical date nite activity?

DH, me, a bottle of wine and a dirty movie usually works!

In all seriousness though, we love to go out to dinner, go wine tasting, spend time with our two dogs at home, catch up on our shows that we don't get to watch during the week, etc.

usually we like to go to the movies....we even do a matinee then dinner afterwards then home for more recreation!

We never did dates so much even when dating so we like to entertain or go out in groups of close friends. So our "dates' are the following:

At home:
Make apps, dinner, dessert open tons of bottles of something good, talk till 2 a.m. with all of our buddies, watch tv with them or a movie OR sometimes we get the board games out.

Out:
Aps, drinks by the beach when its warm out or at our fav. spots usually end up at the diner at one point.

Real date night: If we do something alone we may drive to DC for a weekend or to NJ and just completely go nuts or we may just do the dinner/movie thing if its low key.

I hear ya! I was trying to do the same thing!

We don't have an official "date night", per se. We have been seeing alot of movies lately and we go out to dinner at least once at week, more like twice really, once on the weekend and once during the week. Actually, we love to go to breakfast at a little Mom&Pop diner near our house on the weekends.

DH is off on the weekends now, which I'm loving, because it's been awhile since I've had that. During the week it's pretty much dinner and TV or a movie on TIVO, etc. sometimes working out.

We do like to entertain and have people over too. I love making appetizers and having friends over. I'm actually thinking about a Wine and Wii party - we have so much fun with the Wii - having some wine, appetizers and friends over might be fun while doing the Wii.

date night is usually just an early dinner at our favorite Portuguese restaurant and too much san gria. Usually followed by a movie at home and passing out on the couch LOL

I hear ya! I was trying to do the same thing!

We pick a neighborhood in the city have lunch or dinner and walk around exploring it. Then we walk home- over the bridge and into south Brooklyn.

We like to go out to new resturants or some of our places.. we usually go after the dinner 'rush'. I don't mind eating a little later if it is quieter.

We tend to go out a lot with friends on the weekends so when its just the two of us we'll either stay in or go out to dinner....then relax at home catching up on our DVR shows or watching a movie the rest of the night. (like tonight - can't wait ! )

We don't do date night so much as we go out with our friends, either visiting at each other's houses or going out to dinner.
The times that we don't go out, then it's just dinner in, either cooked by me or ordered, and TV or a DVD.
Some quiet time for just the two of us.

we are the most boring couple in creation- date night for us is sitting on the each eating, watching a movie and playing xbox or wii (so sad lol)

We go out for a nice dinner and then to our favorite bar to drink and just talk....with our scheduals we don't get very much time together so we enjoy being at our favorite places relaxing and chatting. We also love making popcorn and watcin Law and Order SUV and House on DVD....we try to be mellow and together

Weeknights usually just take out and TV or a rented movie.

Weekends- dinner out- either with friends or just the 2 of us and/or movies.
My husband doesn't really like bars-(I wish he did)- so it's pretty basic...
