What's your feeding schedule for your 8 month old?

Dd has 3 bottles a day, morning lunch and evening. She also gets 3 meals a day ( purees).
Also giving 2 snacks-puffs, mum mums, water in sippy cup.
Just starting to give her pieces of table food as well- soft fruit, cut up chicken etc.

Re: What's your feeding schedule for your 8 month old?

This is my DD's schedule (with rough estimates of time) - the food varies by day, but I've given samples below:

6:30 - nurse
8:00 - breakfast - usually pieces of banana, or smushed blueberries and a fruit puree (lately it's been pear or blueberry/mango or applesauce)
8:45/9:00 - nap
10:30 - nurse
12:30 - lunch - puree of some sort and finger food usually - pieces of avocado, peach, pear.
1:00/1:30 - nap
3:00 - nurse
5:00 - dinner - shredded chicken with carrot pieces with applesauce or a veggie puree, sweet potato puree or pieces
6:00 - nurse
6:30 - bed

ETA: I tried yogurt this week but she broke out in a rash on her face, so will be waiting another month before trying it again. If she hadn't, I'd probably be giving her yogurt for lunch.

My dd is only 10 months old now but at 8 months I would feed her little snacks throughout the day, she would usually eat in 1 day:

1 finger food (usually and mostly puffs, but we also did rice cakes, celery sticks, pieces of cut-up fruit, etc.)

2 oz of oatmeal baby cereal

2 oz of a fruit puree

2 oz of a vegetable puree (not always, this was usually extra if she seemed hungry)

plus I'd give her water in a sippy cup- but since she can't really use her sippy cup because she just bites instead of sucks, she only ever gets a few drops of water out of it.

when she was constipated I'd also give her 2oz of prune juice mixed with 2 oz of water in a bottle.

At nine months we added:

2 oz of yogurt

Ds schedule is almost identical to yours except he has 4 bottles a day.

3 meals a day, also purees, oatmeal in the morning, fruit in the afternoon and a veggie in the evening. Mum Mums, and water. We are not having any luck with the sippy cup.

Mine are a little behind I think. They don't have teeth yet and haven't mastered feeding themselves.

6:30- 6 oz bottle then some puffs
9:30- about 2 oz fruit and cereal and 4 oz bottle (yogurt melts too)
12:30- 6 oz bottle (ill eventually give solids too with just 4 oz)
4:30: 2 oz purée and 4oz bottle. (Usually cereal and veg or meat dinner)
7:30-7-8 oz bottle.

DD still gets 4 bottles, approx every 4 hours. I offer her 7 ounces in each bottle. She usually finishes the first morning and bedtime bottles, but often doesn't finish her midday bottles.

I offer her 3 meals - usually fruit purée and oatmeal at breakfast, and veggie purée and barley at dinner. Lunch is a fruit/veggie purée combo usually. She is starting to refuse the purées though, so I am offering more table food at each meal. She loves egg yolks, small pieces of cut up fruits and meats, and her puffs and mum mums. Tried yogurt and she loved it, but her eczema really flared up so we are taking a break from it for now. I also offer her a sippy with water at each meal. She knows how to drink from it, but prefers to throw it on the floor!Chat Icon
