Figuring out a feeding schedule for a 5 month old?

I'm curious how everyone decided their feeding schedule. I'm so clueless! I'm not sure when to do cereal and when to do a fruit/veggie. I am currently giving cereal with the last bottle (7:30) but I'm wondering if it's causing him to get gas at night and wake up.

How did you decide when to give just a bottle and when to add cereal/fruit/veggie? Also, do you give cereal with the last bottle or the second to last bottle and why? Sorry for all the questions but this is so confusing!

At that age-they got 2 meals a day. I think I did brekfast and dinner. I always gave bottles first since the food is just "practice." They should be getting at least 16 oz a day of formula or BM. Soi my schedule was something like this

8:30 wake and 7 oz btl
9:30 breakfast(oatmeal or rice and fruit)
10-12 nap
12 6 oz
3 6 oz
5 cereal and veg(as they got older I added a protein here)
6:30 6oz
6:45-7 bed

I didn't introduce solids until 6 months. At that point we did cereal once a day at 7pm before his bath. He was usually BF'd around 6ish.

Did that for about a week. Then started introducing veggies. Here is how the schedule went.

6:30am wake up nurse
9am cereal
nurse all day
6pm nurse
7pm veggie
7:15 bath
7:30 bed

We moved to 3 meals a day around 9 months. And at that point I just added in a fruit or yogurt at noon for "lunch".

Thanks for the replies ladies! DS just seems to eat soooo much formula. He wants to eat at least 34 oz a day, in addition to cereal and a fruit/veggie. He's eating every 3 hours right now and only taking short naps in between, maybe 40-45 minutes at a clip. I'm wondering if adjusting his feedings would help him take a longer nap at some point. Ugh, it's all so confusing!
