Re: What's your design style?
what is it or what do I want it to be?
I have a lot of hand me down furniture ---- a 50-year old fruitwood formal dining room set, 30-year old queen anne mahogany coffee & end tables, etc so my 'style' is classic. I would love to upgrade and redo the style to more transitional --- classic with a modern flair eventually. I still love the classic look but the furniture could definitely use updating - unfortunately spending the money on less quality items (they just don't make furniture like they used to!) is silly at this point in our lives for us... so I will stay classic for quite some time.

Re: What's your design style?
somewhere in the middle of traditional and modern... maybe more rustic? I think metal accents, but love warm wood furniture and leather couches... I totally make it work in our house somehow!

this..when I first got married I was ultra traditional and now I'm hating my ultra traditional DR set. I'm still more classic and traditional but mixing ecletic and modern pieces in...for instance we're looking at a new bedroom set and I'm not looking at a traditional set but to get pieces here and there

This is ME too!
I went ALL traditional because it's timeless and for the money I was spending (and spent) I didn't want to continue updating every few years..
but now, I'm wanting to incorporate more funky and modern pieces.
I have an old settee set that I had in the sitting area of my MB that I want to reupholster with a cool print...

Country/Traditional/Modern - I would say Pottery Barn and Southern Living are good examples of my style.
