... you should test? DH is BEGGING me to check but we're only 6DPO... I know it's gonna be neg for at least a week and 1/2.....

I've read that you shouldn't really test before 7DPO. And, sometimes that is even a little early. I think most people test around CD10

if you really think you might be PG, then by all means, test.
However, if you get a BFN, you should do it again at 10DPO to be sure

After wasting a ton of money on tests and being disappointed by BFN's I agree, but I still have a hard time not testing.

I think 10DPO is the earliest. But some people got a BFP at 7DPO. But that is the exception.
