the opk's you use once a day and it will basically give you either a positive or a negative. a positive means you will be ovulating in the next 12-36 hours i believe it is.
the fertility monitor is also used once a day throughout almost the entire month, every month and it gets to know your body and schedule. it can give you either a low reading, high reading or peak reading. so once you start getting high reading's you know to start
the monitor is a little pricey and you need to have the sticks to go with it as well... it's all a matter of prefence. girls swear by each of them. i used both.
