What's the difference between a fertility monitor and an ovulation kit?

The fertility monitor looks like this:
and costs about $150. It tells you when your fertility is "low," "high," and "peak."
The ovulation predictors look more like this (many different brands though):
and cost about $20. They can tell you that ovulation will occur within the next 24-36 hours.
