Whats so great about the bugaboo?
Im on the hunt for a good lightweight stroller. Is it worth it to buy a used bugaboo for $400 vs. something like the mclaeren or the insigna (I cant spell either of those)

Re: Whats so great about the bugaboo?
macclaren is my POS emergency stroller
bugaboo I walk 3 miles a day with my 2.5 year old.
the rain cover is the best.
it turns on a dime.
smooth ride.
faces both ways
has the carrycot option
mine has been used everyday for 2.5 years and still is like new.
its pricey, but so worth it if you are a walker.
macclaren feels every bump tips over all the time once my kid jumps out not good sun coverage at all. basket is a joke.

Re: Whats so great about the bugaboo?
Definitely for a walker, I have the cameleon and it is a PITA to lug it in and out of the car so I use my city mini (which is ULTRA lightweight) for in and out of the car, but I walk A LOT in my neighborhood and on the boardwalk and the bugaboo is GREAT bc you do not feel all the bumps

Re: Whats so great about the bugaboo?
I bought a used Bug Chamleon for 450 plus all of the accessories and while it is not the most practical stroller for a 3rd floor walk up, I loooooove it for the beach and long walks. I use the Mac to lug up and down the stairs and the bug for the beach, park and other longer walks. It really is an excellent stroller.

Re: Whats so great about the bugaboo?
For walking, I highly recommend the Babyjogger City Mini. I LOVE mine, it travels well over distances and bumps, and it is sooo easy to fold. Plus, less expensive than any Bugaboo I saw.

Re: Whats so great about the bugaboo?
I agree with Janice, if you are a walker, there is nothing like it. But for me, when my son was 1 I found that the seat was too small for him, and I started using a Maclaren...and I love my Maclaren Techno Classic...love love love it. My friend has the bee and she LOVES it, I think she has had about 14 puschairs in the last 4 years. They are great, but they aren't perfect

Re: Whats so great about the bugaboo?
I love my bug-- It's great for city streets and walking on basically any surface.
It is a little heavy lifting in and out of the car-- but I am not doing that daily, but I am walking on sidewalks daily.

Re: Whats so great about the bugaboo?
I absolutely love my bugaboo cameleon for all the reasons listed above - it handles like a dream over bumps, curbs, i walk through snow, leaves you name it and the ride is smooth as can be!
I WISH IT CAME IN A DOUBLE!

ITA also. I do use my Maclaren Quest alot for travel and the sitter but it doesn't compare at all to my Bugaboo. If you are a walker the Bugaboo is the way to go.
