What would you do?- UPDATE
I had a carpet cleaning guy come in to do 3 rooms. One was already clean but we are moving in soon so I decided to just have him clean it anyway. The other 2 rooms were dirty. Guy came late and was done in 20 min. The AC didn't kick on for whatever reason in the 3rd floor where 2 of the 3 rooms are. It was HOT. I went upstairs to look when he was done and the carpets looked the same! Filthy!!! I had already handed him the check ($145).
I told him that there's no different at all and he saw I was not happy. He said it will look better once the carpet dries but there's a difference.
1). 20 min to clean 3 rooms?? We were told an hour when we scheduled the appointment. It was the end of the day and it was hot. The guy rushed out realllly quick
2) the carpets are soooo dirty. No difference at all!!
Do I call the company and complain and Ask For a re-do or refund ? Call another company, explain my situation and see if I have better luck? Just replace the carpet and say nothing??
I guarantee you that the carpet will be clean if I use this magical product called folex that costs about $10 a bottle. But it's a spot cleaner.
I'm reallly frustrated !!
UPDATE 8/14: I went back to the house yesterday and realized they didnt do the closets in the bedrooms!
I just got off the phone with owner(same guy that did the cleaning) I explained to him that I was not satisfied with the work and the fact that they didnt even open the bedroom closets ( TINNNNNNNNY closets.. like 2 feet by 3ft) proves that it was a rushed/ careless job. He said he will come back and do them but if i wanted him to go over the attic rooms again, it will be another charge. I told him I can either cancel the check and part ways, or he can come back and put more effort. I scheduled an appointment for when DH will be there. un freaking believable

Re: What would you do?
Definitely call the company and complain. They need to make it right...you paid for a job you were not satisfied with. If they give you a hard time blow them up on social media. I did that once and got a call from a manager almost immediately and they quickly fixed my problem.
And it was you who recommended Folex on here before and I bought it based on your rec. It is AMAZING. Got grape jelly that had been sitting on my daughter's light colored carpet for a day out in seconds!

100% call and complain. How in the hell did he clean 3 rooms in 20 minutes. Oh, i know how: he didn't. Complain and like Nell said, if they don't make it right, blow them up on social media.

Re: What would you do?
It's such an incredible product. But can u picture me on my hands and knees scrubbing 2 rooms? I'd do it but like... Why?? Lol
He saw the first room which was super clean and expected the other two rooms to be the same and got annoyed.

What would you do?
I'd complain and get a refund. But ultimately remove/replace the carpet bc other people's carpets skeeve me out.

Re: What would you do?
Oh no. Definitely call and complain. I would explain exactly what happened. I probably wouldn't ask for a refund, but would ask for someone else to come and redo the rooms and make it clear that they are expected to take their time and the carpets should be clean. I would call tomorrow. You don't want too much time to pass.

I would call first thing in the morning and ask for someone to redo that day. Depending upon the response you get maybe stop payment. Also, look at it as a lesson learned, always check before paying.

There were two guys against me (preggers) I was too afraid to say anything more than what I did.

1) Call and complain. 2) Cancel the check. 3) Call Stanley Steamer. 4) Rip the original company on social media, or call Help Me Howard, 7 on Your Side. How dare they take advantage of a pregnant woman ?
eta : Nice carpet, good condition.

No way! I'd call and calmly explain your issue. Maybe try to give them the out of blaming the heat and let them know the a.c. will be running now. I would give them the chance to make it right. If that doesn't work, I'd be all over their fb complaining and demanding a refund.

Re: What would you do?
Those stains may not come out and if that's the case you can't put that on the company.
Maybe might be worth replacing the carpet. That carpet looks like the same carpet I installed at my Florida home. Got it at Home Depot. Was real cheap and they installed it for free. I think I did three bedrooms worth for like $1100 installed.

Re: What would you do?
I find carpet cleaners to always be a rip off so now I do them myself with a $99 bissell Carpet cleaner that I bought at home depot. For the most part they come out way better than any service I have used. and it's actually therapeutic - just like vacuuming slowly. I would call, get your money back and get yourself a bissell. It's also nice because if we have a stain or a spill I have the cleaner and it's so easy to use.
And btw - it takes me about an hour per room so 20 minutes on three rooms is insane.

One thing if the stains won't come out but she was told once it dries everything will be better. Problem is guys took advantage of a woman and did a poor job.

Did the carpet feel damp after he left? If he really cleaned it at all it should be a little damp.
When we bought our home, I borrowed my dad's carpet cleaner and cleaned all the carpets myself. A ton of gross dirt came out but they still skeeved me out even after that So we ended up getting new carpet anyway.

Any hour a room?????? Stanley Steemer did two rooms for me in 20 minutes if that and they were spotless when they were done!
But to OP, call asap , and demand they redo it and/or stop payment on check and call Stanley Steemer.

I think the pros have more heavy duty equipment and can probably move faster than the Bissel where you have to drag it really slow back and forth

the stains are just from dust and stuff around where the display cases were. it was a 16 yr olds closet where he had his shoes and sneakers in glass cases. its not poop or anything gross lol
