Are you going to know anyone there? That usually is the deciding factor to me. I wouldn't make the drive just to get there & not know anyone...

Okay this is going to sound terrible but for a coworker i wouldnt make the trip. If it was a family member or childhood friend youve been close with for years I would definately go.
I hate driving alone anywhere and I dont know the Bronx at all so i would be so nervous i was going to get lost Id probably give myself a heart attack

Hmmm...that's tough. I'd like to say "yes I'd go" since it seems like the right thing to do, but I know me...if carpooling w/a coworker is out of the question I'd probably rsvp no. I know that I've never held it against people who couldn't come to my functions, so I think they'll understand

I would go, maybe DH could drive you with your child and they could go off and do something locally (I'm not from the Bronx but maybe there is an aquarium or something fun to do) while you are at the shower then he could come pick you up when you both are ready.

I would also see if any other coworkers are going that you could drive with and go together.
If it turns out that you are not able to attend, get her a gift anyway and bring it to her the day after the shower (assuming she doesn't know when the shower will be) to let her know that you wanted to give her something.

I would go. I would definitely try and go with your DH and DD as a first choice. If they couldn't go I would try and hitch a ride with a coworker.

Do you know where in the Bronx? Im from the Bronx and there are just some areas you wouldnt catch me in especially pregnant. I like the idea the other ladies said about having your DH take you.
