What would you do?
Ok so the weekend of the 29/30 I have to work all weekend and my job is hosting a HUGE event where I will see tons of people I have not seen in a long time. I will be 11w3d on that Friday.
99% of the people there do not know I'm pregnant with twins or that I went through a year of IVF. Including my boss, some close friends, many observant former students, and some not so close friends. However, I have a little bump and look like I had a boob job. They will notice. I was thinking of "coming out" on FaceBook the night before.
What would you do?

Re: What would you do?
I would only 'come out' when you're ready, don't let a work event where people may speculate put you in a position that you're not comfortable with.
If anyone asks you if you're pregnant (which I think is SO rude, hello - if I'm not you've just called me fat, and if I am, shouldn't you wait for me to tell you?) just look at them like they're crazy/rude!
ETA: I also went through almost a year of infertility treatments and 2 IVFs. I was really nervous about telling anyone and pretty much held off until 4 months - but that was me. If you're ready to come out - then go for it! Just don't let an event force your hand.

if you are ready to come out, then do it but I wouldn't come out just because you are worried about people noticing. Wear a shirt that hides the bump and just play it off if people ask questions. You couldve just gained a little weight.
I saw do whatever you are most comfortable with!

Re: What would you do?
honestly ... i'd just go to the event and see what happens. i just personally wouldn't want the attention of everyone coming up to me and congratulating me at a work event, which is more likely if you "come out" the day before.

Re: What would you do?
The closer friends will ask and they have known me for so long that they will read my face in an instant. This is IVF #4 and I have never made it this far, always MC by 6w.

Re: What would you do?
I wouldn't come out earlier than you feel comfortable. That said, I did come out to 2 of my bosses the day of a smaller work event because it was about the time I wanted to tell them, I didn't want to feel like I had to hide it, and I wanted to use that opportunity to tell someone in person who I didnt get to see very often. (I was 13w at the time and I only told those two bosses - I didn't tell anyone else) No regrets. In fact, one boss helped cover for me at a client event the following night when I was the only one not drinking at dinner.
If you are ready to share with some people but not others, you could always tell just them and they can help cover for you.

ITA! And if anyone asks, I would just say something to the effect of, "Did you really just ask me such a personal question?" or "Gee, I guess I ate too much earlier ... thanks a lot." Put them in their place!

I agree. We came out in the 11th week because DH wanted to make a big announcement at an event, but we were ready for it and planned it that way from the day we got our BFP. If you're not comfortable coming out so soon, def wait until you're ready.
