I think as long as you set boundaries before you move in, it'll be ok. Not exactly the same but we lived in a bldg for 3 years with a bunch of our friends in various apartments (incl 1 couple directly across the hall). I was sort of nervous but it was honestly fine. Everyone has their own lives going around - if anything, we actually didn't see each other enough.

I think it is terriffic!! You will both always have each other to babysit.
If a big snow storm hits and you can't leave your house, you will always have company to come over. (Game Night).
Your children will always have friends near buy, and a houses you can both trust you kids to go to.

I would def do it!!!! DH's aunt lives right up the block 5 doors down, at first especially when the baby came privacy was an issue but just set guidelines, for me I just wanted a phone call before coming over, but I have to tell you when an emergency arises, its the best feeling in the world to know you have family at a snap!

I would love it! I don't really see privacy as an issue, you each have your own house and as long as both parties aren't nosey bodies it's really an ideal situation.
