What will be "in" this fall?
Do you think leggings or skinny jeans will still be "in" or is there another look that will be trendy?
I am sick of my fall and winter clothes and I haven't bought anything new in about 2 years after being pregnant and then losing baby weight. I do NOT look good in leggings or skinny jeans and I'm looking for some cute new things
Thanks!

I feel like the skinny jean trend just will not die! I'm also more of a wide leg jeans girl. I did buy ONE pair of skinny jeans - in black - that are flattering.

skinny jeans just dont look good on me. I have thick legs. I hope the boot cut trend comes back & they never stop making them.

What will be
I hate the skinny jean look. It is not flattering on me. I like the reverse - a wide leg trouser with a fitted top, a great flat shoe.

I hate skinny jeans too. HATE. My thighs are not skinny so it looks ridiculous on me. Even with boots. Plus I hate anything that I feel like is strangling me. I like things that are looser fitting- I get claustrophobic in skinny jeans.

Re: What will be "in" this fall?
Me too! I feel like many MANY women are bottom heavy and smaller on top. Skinny jeans highlight my WORST area, and force me to wear a loose top that hides my better areas. Stupid
Plus I can never find boots that fit over my calves, let alone over my calves AND a pair of jeans

What will be
I am curvy and LOVE skinny jeans-they wont be going anywhere. Try not to think of whats in but rather what looks good on you. BUt some trends to incorporate are emerald green anything, leather, peplum still in, color blocking, tuxedo striping etc. Those are the things our stylist have been nabbing.

I basically only wear skinny jeans and will be sad if they aren't in style anymore! I think I'll be wearing them regardless though, they look better on me than anything else!

Ankle boots with buckles & cut outs on the side. Patterned leggings but not for me!

See, that's the thing. When it comes to stuff like jeans- I firmly beleive you shouldn't wear what's in style- you should wear what looks good on YOUR body. Trends should be left to other items that aren't as body conscious- kwim?

Re: What will be "in" this fall?
I have a couple pair, but really haven't worn skinny jeans in awhile.
I just feel more comfortable in the wider legs too.
I also think to run around in all day, wider leg styles are more comfy TO WEAR too.
I feel like I always have to look at myself to make sure I'm covered when I wear skinny jeans.

Re: What will be "in" this fall?
I completely agree with the idea of finding out what looks good on your body type and sticking to it!
I found a blog a while back that explained why certain types of jeans/pockets/fits look better or worse, with comparison pictures. I took the advice and found the absolute best style for me is low rise boot cut with lower-placed pockets that have good proportion to my butt size
So I bought some jeans from Express on sale and they take at least 10 pounds off me. The first time I wore them, so many people asked me how much weight I've lost lately (none, I actually gained) and it was my confirmation that I'm sticking with this style.

Re: What will be "in" this fall?
Sorry didn't really answer the "in" question though... I keep seeing 80's influences everywhere. Floral prints, Members Only jackets, scrunchy boots, jeans jackets, vintage concert t shirts, even acid wash I'm not sure if they're just holdovers from before or if they're still "in".

Re: What will be "in" this fall?
People keep saying that Doc Martens and flannel are making a comeback.
Which I guess is good news for me, since I've been wearing the same pair of Docs for 16 years and have more flannel and plaid than a lumberjack.

Do you shop at Express often? i havent been there in years, but there was whole page on them in a magazine last month and I thought about giving them a visit.

I got rid of a lot of plaid & Docs never fit right back then but I think there are some different fits now. I'm ready to see this trend again. I'm tired of all the impractical high-heel wearing. I can just leave my plaid open & wear a tight tank underneath & still look sexy.

Actually I don't. The rest of their clothes aren't really my style but the only places I found jeans with the right pocket size/placement was Macys and Express. So I went to Express and tried some on and then waited for a sale. It didn't take long and I got three pairs. It seems like they're always on sale.
