I am sorry, but I just saw this now. My daughter was in the hospital for two months. She had some minor breathing issues and feeding problems while in the NICU. As a 2.5 yo now, she is doing great. She has always been on the smaller side, but it hasn't been an issue. She is talking and reached all of her milestones pretty much on time....has some sensory issues. She has also been receiving EI therapy pretty much since birth. My son (and boys are always slower in the NICU for the most part) was in the hospital for 3 months. He did not have any brain bleeds, but had more complications than my daughter. He had a heart murmur...which closed on it's own...lots of breathing issues...he had a very hard time breathing on his own and bottlefeeding...he also had high blood pressure and needed meds for that...As a 2.5 yr old, my son is doing great...things come harder to him, but he has made so much progress. He talks and walks...but has poor coordination, high muscle tone, and has more sensory issues than my daugther. He also has been getting tons of EI since birth. Overall, they are doing really well for the situation they were in. It could have been a lot worse! I will be praying for ur cousins babies...
