What was your 4 month olds schedule with solids?

I got the clearance to start cereal and eventually on to fruits in a week or so. How much did you give and how often? Just curious!

And when they are eating cereal and fruits, do you mix them or do them seperately? How many times per day did DC eat each?

We started with 1 tablespoon of cereal 2X per day mixed with formula at 4 months. Now at 4 1/2 months have the go ahead to add a yellow/orange fruit or veggie with the cereal 2X/day.

When i started i never measured I just mixed up what looked like about 2 tablespoons of cereal, i always put the fruit or veggie on top and just spoon it out w/both the fruit & cereal...if she ate it all I knew to make more next time and eventually just figured out how much she wanted

Re: What was your 4 month olds schedule with solids?

We started with 2 tbs., 2 x's a day. Then up to three, 2x's. I mixed it with breastmilk at first but, once he started day care, I couldn't pump enough for cereal and bottles.. so now we use water. Now he is up to 5 tbs., 2x's a day. The doctor told me to bump it up because, at day care, he was eating sooo much BM and I couldn't keep up. Adding more cereal has helped for now... and I could hold off giving formula for a while.

Fruits we just started this week. He started with just a few tsp.. but, within two days... he is up to 2 ounces of fruits.
We started with peaches so that he could have fruit, 2x's a day. Then we added sweet potato. I did fruits twice a day first so he didn't have to have veggies in the morning. Then we added sweet potatoes in the evening. Monday, I'll add another fruit and alternate between that and peaches.. Then another veggie...
