Don't over think it. It does not matter what you give them as long as it is a single ingredient and give time between introducing something new
I have no clue what he had

Not dumb, I wasnt sure either but its actually a fruit. I always thought it was a veggie

Sweet potato first and then pears a week or two later. I always try to mix the fruit with oatmeal to tone down the sweetness though.

Is it bad that I don't remember and DS is only 7 months? I make his food and I made bananas, applesauce, sweet potatoes and butternut squash first. So he had one of the above for his first fruit and veggie. For the record, I think his real firsts were banana and squash.

Veggie-Sweet potatoes
DS #2
Fruit-Pears
Veggie-Peas
DS #1 I started with Rice, but for DS #2 I went straight to Fruit and Veggie.

this but he isn't very interested in solids in general it seems. hes only 5 mos so we r taking it slow
