What to put in the Easter Basket - 2014 Thread
Since this question is asked so many times I thought it would be good to create thread that we can all follow.
I think it would be helpful if you list your child's age and what you are putting in their Easter Basket this year.

I haven't even started thinking about this yet. But I imagine this thread will become very helpful when the time comes!

My dd will be five next week. But over the years I have never put candy in her Easter basket. Maybe one chocolate bunny.
She gets candy from all the relatives and the egg hunts. ( which I usually confiscate most of).
I have put;
Bubbles
Coloring books
Crayons
Sidewalk chalk
Play doh
Jump rope
Kite
Rain boots with gardening gloves and kids gardening tools
Crafts
Fishy crackers
Pretzels

DS- 5yo and DD 3yo (turning 4 in june)
Bathing suit
Instead of grass Im using a beach towel poncho
A few small lego sets/ my little ponies
An easter book
A kite
Angry bird sheets/ my little pony sheets
Im making glitter play dough, homemade peanut butter eggs, and chocolate covered marshmellows
DD 4 months.. im only doing a basket for her bc my older two didnt understand why the easter bunny would forget the baby
Shes getting a bathing suit
hooded towel
A bath time book
And a baby jumperoo

DS and DD 3 yo and DS 20 months old are all getting:
Bathing suits
Beach towel
Sun glasses
Flip flops of their favorite characters
A frozen book from target
Some kind of water colors painting book
A toy each
A chocolate bunny each
A snack each
Eta: the twins will also get a pack of underwear, under shirts and bed sheets each. The bAby will get a little something els but not sure what. Maybe a shirt or 2.

That's it. She's getting this huge tube thingie that has all sorts of crafty princess stuff in it (got it at Sams for $10) so that should be enough. She's got a girl scout thing the day before and I KNOW auntie will pour crud on her so I am not going to bother.
She is all excited to put her dress on again. Target now has those gloves I was looking for a month ago so I got her 4 pair, two in each color so she could play dress up with her BFF and spare in case. So she wants to wear her gloves and hat for easter.

Easter is much more of a religious holiday in my family, but we will be doing small baskets for the boys.

My kids are getting a frozen t-shirt, crocs, one bag of avengers eggs that I'll split between the two, new water bottles, a chocolate bunny. Imho the name of the game is to put spring/ summer items you were buying anyway. My kids get so much crap from everyone else. Last year I actually didn't even do baskets for them but they still got three each from family members.

DS is 27 months, this is what I put in his basket:
Sidewalk chalk, bubbles, goldfish, mini chips ahoy cookies, toy dinosaur,
Matchbox car and a few plastic Easter eggs with a dollar bill in each one, he loves putting money in his piggy bank. I didn't get much at all because my in laws usually go overboard with his basket.

I am wrapping it up in cellophane because I know that is what she will enjoy most in that moment.
Realistically all these items she would have needed/gotten anyway I just decided to give her a basket since we will be celebrating with other young children so I wanted her to be included.

You're not nuts! DD was 2 weeks her first Easter and I made her a basket for the memories. I also bought candy for mommy and daddy.
