What to Expect with Dr. B

I have my first appointment with Dr. B next week and I am so excited/nervous. Can anyone tell me what I can expect on that first visit? Will there be bloodwork? An ultrasound? Is it necessary that DH comes? Will we figure out a game plan then or wait awhile?

My first appoinment with Dr. B was just a consult where we talked about my issues and history. DH was with me and he asked him about his history as well. We discussed some testing he wanted us to have done and a tentative game plan (depending on the results of the testing I would be having)

i think it depends where you are in your cycle. if you are around cd3 he may do bloodwork/sono then, but I was really late in my cycle so he didn't.

Dr. B is really smart and knows his stuff but will help explain everything so you understand. He is really nice and has a good sense of humor so he definitely makes you feel comfortable. Good luck!!!!

You will most likely not do any sonos/bloodwork until he goes over everything with you. I did not go for any testing until after my consult. DH was not with me at the appt. but did eventually have to go for a SA

Thanks so much for the quick responses. I just checked with him (wow, what quick response times!) and my husband will be "dialing in" to our appointment.

Were either of you charting before your appointment and did you bring your charts with you?

at my first appt i did the consult but also had sono and bloodwork..but that was bc i was in middle of a clomid cycle.. so he wanted to see if i had any follies and draw blood to see if i ovulated

he was super super nice and we went over everything and i feel better bout us moving foward

dh was there with me but i dont drive so he was my ride lol
