i know, its so boring! The only time it was helpful was when I had the spotting. So i think I am going to keep mine around for other weird things that may happen.

Try selling it on amazon if no one on here wants it

I threw that book so far across the room one day it landed under the couch i think it still might be there ... It just gave too much to think about

Yeah after reading a few reviews on here I steered clear of that one!! I got "I'm Pregnant" and really like it (lots of pictures and it's not scary).

I have to say, I found it to be a fairly helpful book that I've used a good deal. Granted, a lot of information I've also found on-line. It was a good basic book that wasn't overwhelming and I've read it almost cover to cover at this point (depending on it's relevance to my situation). DH got me the gift set with the other book included - what to expect the first year... I should start on that soon...

Get "Pregnancy Week by Week"

my friend recommended it to me and I LOVED it. I always caught DH reading it It's wayyyy better!

Gerty, I would hold on to it until after the baby comes. I didn't read it cover to cover, but I did find it more helpful later in the pregnancy, just to look up things I was going through in the 3rd trimester.

I found that a lot of the questions that were asked were very helpful in answering questions that I personally had....

i actually enjoy reading it! i love getting information and i just skip parts that don't apply to me.

I HATED this book early in my pregnancy--I found it scary and also preachy, especially about diet. The first 3 months I was lucky to get anything down at all, so some of the food advice annoyed me.

But at the end of the pregnancy, I found it much more helpful I bought I'm Pregnant also, which I liked early, but didn't find as useful later on.

Now I have What to Expect in the First Year and find that very helpful.
