What to eat/drink to make baby move?- Update

I'm going to the doctor soon to find out if the baby is a boy or a girl! Is there anything that I can eat or drink to get this baby awake and moving? I figure sugar, but wanted to get your feedback because I don't quite feel the baby yet, so I don't know how he/she reacts to what I eat. Thanks!

Update-
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. My drink of choice was a little Coke and it worked. The baby was moving all over the place. It's a boy! Chat Icon

Re: What to eat/drink to make baby move?

The first time I went for my level II i didnt eat in like 3 hours, I was gonna have dinner when I got home. They baby was sleeping cookies and water werent even working to wake him up. I had to go back and they said eat a meal before you come next time. When I went back I had pizza, water and a couple sips of soda, caffeine free but i think the sugar got him bc he didnt stop moving that time! So just moderation of whatever you eat lol. GL!! We had our anatomy scan at 19 weeks and I was told to drink 32 ounces (I think!) of water 2 hours before and NOT to pee.

I was told not to eat or drink anything else.

During the scan, the baby was super cooperative! And in the middle, the woman had me use the bathroom and then was able to get some more different pictures and have the baby adjust locations.

HTH!

When I had my early anatomy scan, they did not tell me anything with respect to eating or drinking. My appointment was at 9:00 AM and I had a banana and corn muffin before I went. The baby was wide awake and flying all around!!!! He would not stay still!

Orange or apple juice. At least 8 ounces a half hour before you go. The sugar makes the baby active....

I drank OJ before my scans. It got him moving a bit.

Later in my pregnancy, he loved ice cream! He would dance up a storm after I ate ice cream.

Anything with sugar - juice, chocolate. All that works. Except yesterday when it seemed like nothing would wake him/her up!

My little one moves for any food or drink...but they tell you a glass of orange juice or apple juice works good. Especially if you are trying to stay away from caffeine and don't want to drink anything like that.
