What to ask REs

My first appointment was a consult. We reviewed the results of my genetic testing, FSH and LH results and discussed other health issues (daily chronic migraines)--We talked about my plans for TTC. I had some blood work done (CBC, anti mullerian antibody level). My doctor does things step wise and will not do an HSG right away unless there is a specific reason and all conditions that can be ruled out by blood work and sonogram have been eliminated.
As for questions- I was really concerned about my age and my reproductive health...my situation is a bit different b/c I have chronic migraines and until a couple of months ago I was on daily preventative medications.

Re: What to ask REs

You should be prepared with all of your information. He or she will ask a lot of the questions. When was your last period, how long do your periods last, how long have you been trying, do you know when you ovulate, do you know how long your luteal phase is, how long are your cycles, etc.

As for questions that you should ask, that depends on what you want to do. If you're unfamiliar with it, you can ask about what treatments he/she would recommend for you, how long you should try each before moving on to the more aggressive step. You could also ask if there's anything they recommend you cut out or start doing and if there are any tests that you or your SO could go for.

I bring something to write with so I don't forget all the answers to my questions!

Good luck!

Thanks for the info! I went to see the RE last week and it was a great appt. I learned that my hubby is fine for now so I am lined up for another blood test and the HSG which both will be scheduled after I get AF this month. But fingers crossed that she will not visit this month! I started the Clear Blue fertility monitor this cycle and I got an egg this morning!! I was only at medium fertility yesterday and was surprised to see the egg. I also was started on prenatals- I will be trying a few samples to see which ones work the best for me.
