What temp is too cold for concrete to be put down?
Anyone know what temp is too cold for new concrete to be laid?

It's really never too cold. You just need to put additives in the concrete based on the temp. If you just took regular concrete and poured it, it either wouldn't cure, would cure poorly, or just freeze altogether. I've seen professionals pour house foundations with snow falling....

they are going to pour a foundation i think in december/jan at my job (new building going up) they are now digging out and putting forms down.

They also need to keep the conveyed above a certain temp by either portable heater or warming blankets while it is curing

Years ago I worked with a client that was a home builder. It was the winter we had below freezing temps for weeks (20s). They were behind schedule so they paid a lot of money to heat the Earth so they could pour the foundation to get back on schedule.
