What stroller/carseat are you planning on getting?
My mom offered to buy us our stroller, and I'm sure either ILs or my dad will get us the carseat. I want something good but agile, preferably a stroller I can easily walk with the dog. Stroller budget up to about $950. Any suggestions for a stroller and a good car seat that will be compatible?

Re: What stroller/carseat are you planning on getting?
We just bought the bob stroller because we are very active and do a lot of hiking and walking. We registered for a Chicco car seat and car seat adapter.

What stroller/carseat are you planning on getting?
We registered for the Graco Snugride 35 carseat. It had high ratings on all websites and my SIL also has it and LOVES it. It's light and comfortable for my niece. We also figured that this way we all have the same base so we can interchange and don't have to worry about moving the base from one to car another. We got the snap and go for the stroller while he is a newborn. It weighs 11 lbs and is SUPER easy to fold and carry.
We registered for the Maclaran XLT. It had also high ratings. I've heard the UppaBaby is a GREAT stroller and everyone I know loved it. For us it didn't sit right with spending almost $800 on a stroller where the baby is going to throw up and poop in. Plus, I have a theory that if I register for something I need to feel comfortable paying that much myself if someone doesn't buy it. If your family is paying for it, then yeah, I would probably go with the UppaBaby if they offered. Otherwise look into the Maclaren.

When it says, one touch close/fold, HOW exactly do you do this? Is there a lever, a button, a pull?? And where on the stroller is it? Is it easy??
And how is the stroller, weight-wise??
I really want LIGHT. Thanks!!!

Re: What stroller/carseat are you planning on getting?
I did the Graco snugride 35 with a snap n go for the first 8 months or so, maybe longer. So convenient and light weight, don't have to move the baby from seat to stroller
MIL bought us the Bumbleride Flyer which i didn't pick out or research and I ended up really hating it. I thought it was great at first bc the handles flip over so the baby can face you or out, but it handles like crap. I would not recommend it.
I don't know what I'm going to do for #2 after the car seat/snap n go phase.

I just registered for both of these yesterday at BBB. They are compatible. You have to buy a $40 metal insert for the stroller that we just registered for as well. I'm not really expecting anyone to buy us the stroller because it's so expensive, but if that's the case, DH and I will buy it and I'm keeping it on the registry so we can keep track.

Re: What stroller/carseat are you planning on getting?
We had a City Mini for DS 1. Then we got a Maclaren as a umbrella stroller. For #2 and #3 we are getting the bumbleride indie twin. We picked up a free snap and go twin that is compatible with our Graco Snugride. If I were doing carseats again I would probably get the Keyfit

Re: What stroller/carseat are you planning on getting?
I have the Graco Modes Click Connect and I am loving it!!!! It has so many riding options, a giant storage basket, huuuuuge canopy to cover baby, and many other nice features. The infant seat also feels SO much lighter than the Chicco Keyfit I had with my DD. It's a really nice stroller, I highly recommend it. (and it's affordable too.........we only paid $290 for it)

It takes some getting used to, but you basically have to push the handle down and push in at the same time. There's also a button you have to press at the same time. After a few tries I got it. It's kind of on the heavy side, but it's literally the smoothest ride out there and has so many options (use as a snap n go, infant/toddler seat, bassinet, option to add a second seat).

Re: What stroller/carseat are you planning on getting?
I registered for the Chicco Keyfit carseat and the chicco snap and go frame...but I also after exhaustive research added the UppaBaby vista to my registry..its pricey so I doubt it will be purchased but at least I will try to get a discount on it for registry completion..
Someone was asking about how to explain the folding mechanism... I found a video on youtube that had a whole demo of the UppaBaby vistas specs and features and I noticed they had a lot of videos on other stroller brands as well so thats an option to check out when deciding...

I have this exact same combo, including the snap n go and it's been great. The vista is awesome for long walks on uneven terrain. Such a smooth ride!

I had this combo with DD and I love love love this stroller. So sad that the second seat option sucks. Now in the process of trying to find a double stroller for when DS arrives...

City Slect- moves like a dream and graco snugride. With that budget, I would look into a Bugaboo Cameleon. My friend has one and it's so dreamy. The bassinet steals my heart.
