Same. Smallest I would go is .25 for our home. We had .18 in our last house and felt our back yard just wasnt big enough for what we wanted to use it for.
ETA: one thing to consider, what do you see this house being for you? Is it a starter, or a forever? Are you a working couple who spend a lot of time working and want to enjoy your home, not spend a whole weekend maintaining it?
OUr first house had a small yard but it was perfect for that point in our lives. We were just married, no kids, worked alot. IT was low maintenance. We always thought it was a 5 year house (we moved in under 3)
This yard is more of a long term home. We wanted a big yard with the thought of having kids and parties, a pool etc. But if DH did the maintenance, it is like 4 hours at a clip. So we hired landscapers. its just too much time for him to give up that he could be spending with his family.

Ours is only .20 but considering how overgrown it was/is I am grateful for that - it's been enough of a project as it is!
But our house is very small, and it is (hopefully) not our "forever" home, so we are fine with it.

.33 acres - which seems to be perfect for us. I can not imagine maintaining a bigger yard.
