What should your husband wear during delivery?
What should your husband wear during delivery? Do they get a gown or scrubs? Should he just wear normal clothes or bad clothes? Thanks for your help.

My husband was coming off of working a triple! so he wore pjs and a white tee (I was laboring in the hospital for 21 hours) and it was a vaginal birth

I had a regular birth and my husband just wore comfy clothes - Nice and presentable, but not overdressed at all. If you have a C-Section, they will provide the scrubs that he puts over his clothes

I had an emergency c section so my husband had come from right from work. So he was wearing dirty jean, his work t-shirt and work boots. Bu they gave him scrubs anyway so it didn't matter.

This. I was induced, so we went in on a thursday evening. He wore a t-shirt and jeans. I labored through the night and had the baby early that morning and DH stayed in the same clothes.

DS1 was born vaginally on 7/30, my water broke on 7/29. We left for the hospital about 10pm on 7/29 and DH wore a polo and shorts. In fact, I was sewing the button back on said shorts while leaking fluid into the toilet because he was no nervous, he ripped the button off the only clean shorts he had.

DH was wearing shorts and a t-shirt. ended up with a c-section and they provide scrubs for that

same here. It's not as though he gets sprayed by anything  He can just wear normal, comfortable clothes. The only time they wear scrubs is if it's a c-section and that just goes right over his outfit.

Dh wore shorts and a t-shirt. However I packed a change of clothes just in case I was laboring long which I did 22 hrs than an emergency csec. I packed gym pants and a nice t-shirt, underwear. He was very happy to change.

I had a growth sono and due to low fluid I had to be admitted right away, and DH was not leaving my site so he just wore the clothes he was wearing...he didn't have to change into scrubs. I gave birth vaginally not sure about c-section though. I was in Northshore LIJ Manhasset.

I rented a powder blue tux for DS's birth....
j/k 
I just wore jeans and T-shirt for both DC's births. They were both C-sections, and I put scrubs on over my clothes.

BUT remember to pack something extra for him b/c he got gunk all over him from holding the baby before she was cleaned up then he had to hug everyone and hang out in it all day!
i always notice it in pictures! lol

He went to the hospital with me in shorts and a polo shirt but changed to a tshirt and basketball shorts around midnight to get comfy.
I also recommend a change of clothes for DH. Just in case you are there for a long time or he does get messy from holding the baby, or from dripping mayo on his shirt from the sandwich he's having for dinner.

I was induced and labored overnight for 14 hours, so I packed ExH a change of clothes in my overnight bag. He was wearing what he slept in, which was a tee shirt and mesh shorts.

DH is ALWAYS hot, except for in the hospital...he is always cold lol. Instead of his usual shorts and polo shirt ensemble, he's just going to dress more warmly this time so he doesn't freeze.
