What life jacket are you using for your 18-24 month old?

I know DD will not go in the round float thing, since she hated it last year.

I have seem all of these at the store or online but am at a loss as to what to choose. Any help or thought would be great.

I ordered the 2nd to last one you posted from One Step Ahead (the yellow vest). My sister used it on her son last year and liked it.

We have the puddle jumper bc it is coastguard approved (or something like that) BUT it will NOT keep your DC's head up above the water if they don't know to keep it up themselves. Does that make sense? I guess if face down, they need to know to pick up their head. I think other life-jackets are better at keeping their entire upper body/head out of the water in an emergency. The puddle jumpers are good if they are learning to swim.

We use these...they use them in Disney World at the pools and I really liked them.

I was just looking on amazon for the last hour for something for DD who is 21 months!! I read tons of reviews and descriptions on all of the above ones you posted and ended up just placing an order with amazon.com for these:

Floatsafe Floaties

I thought i'd end up with a vest of some sort but want to try these arm floaties out first. They were $7.35 with $4.99 shipping and I have amazon credit so they didn't cost me anything (I think you can get them cheaper on the actual floatsafe website).

Nothing but positive reviews, made for 1-3 year olds (most others are 3+ and sometimes 2+), smaller than regular arm floaties, only inflatable on 2 sides, the 3rd side fabric snaps in place on arm, non-irritating.



I'll let you know how they are when we get them in a week or so!
