What Kitchen Countertop Material Do You Have?

I know granite is the 'in' countertop material but I'm not a fan...My only option is some engineered stone which I like but DH does not.

Would you think less of a kitchen countertop that's made of quartz or another engineered stone?

Maybe even an engineered stone that looks like marble?

I only have granite but I think quartz is beautiful!

are you totally out with granite? there are certain types of granite that look like marble without being a pain in maintenance

We have quartz and everyone thinks it's granite. Our real estate agent even listed it as granite in our kitchen description b/c people aren't as familiar with quartz as they are with granite. We picked it because the patterns are a little more consistent then granite, if that makes sense.

I have quartz and love it because I got the look that I wanted.

We're getting quartz when we do our countertops. I think quartz is picking up in popularity.

If I can get a countertop that gets mistaken for granite, maybe I can please my husband while getting what I want at the same time.

I have granite on our peninsula.. but we bought quartz for the rest of the kitchen. I love it and if anyone thinks less of my home because of my counter top materials .. well that would be their problem.

ETA: Aren't quartz and granite the same cost?
