Makeup, I can spend up to 100 alone. , that's my splurge and I save in Clothing or shoes, I love finding good deals.

We save on a handyman. I can fix most anything I can find instructions on.

save--anywhere i can -- with groceries, household items, cleaning supplies, etc.
splurge--probably when we go out to dinner -- we love to eat out, but don't do it as often...so when we do we enjoy ourselves

we save by not eating out or going to the movies very frequently.... maybe once every other month we eat out? No take out either.... we also buy all our clothes in target or in the outlets.
We splurge on the quality of food we eat.... lots of high end cheeses at this household  we also splurged on our kitchen supplies (pots, appliances, dishes....)
Another splurge is our interior decorating....
I guess we splurge on home stuff because we're homebodies

We splurge on going out to dinner and vacations. We save on cars- we barely use one and we have a really old one, electronics and home furnishings- we get basic stuff and only stuff we need example- we didn't have a TV for a year and when we did get one it wasn't a huge one.

We save by looking for sales on things we need in the house ie groceries/toiletries. We don't order much take out at all and tend to brown bag our lunches.
We splurge on nice vacation spots, nice dinners out and I have a thing for designer jeans and handbags.

we look for deals on everything, it just depends on what's on the agenda.
we work a lot so we end up eating out a lot. But even though we do that we try to be economical about it and share entrees and appetizers and drink at home after.

Save on -
House repairs, DH does them all himself
Going out to eat - not on purpose, we just have no one to watch Alex
Clothes/shoes - I cannot bring myself to buy retail. I will not buy unless it's on sale, or I have a coupon.
Cars - we buy all our cars used.
Splurge on -
Babysitting - I give our babysitter an obscene amount of money as incentive to keep watching Alex
Vacations - 10 days skiing in the Swiss Alps - enough said.
Furniture - antiques
And me time (i.e. my spa weekend
 )

I splurged on my wedding when I was planning it. I went overboard on like... EVERYTHING.
Now? I splurge on nothing.
I save on everything I possibly can.

save on-
clothes: i use NY&co coupons, and really only buy stuff thats on sale...
house repairs- DH is an engineer and does all remodeling and repairs himself
gas- we bought a house thats about 5 miles from each of our jobs
splurge on:
going out to eat at least 3 times a week
"entertainment"- we have a big group of friends and are always doing stuff with them that costs $$
Vacations- we take like 2 or 3 trips a year
my car payments- Dh talked me into getting the "limited" RAV 4 with all the 'hookups" and now i love him for it

Save - Dont spend alot on clothes, shop sales ALOT. Don't eat out during the week.
Splurge - TRIPS!!! About 4-5 a year. Gifts for others.

me too - and giving people gifts, esp DH - once i find the perfect thing i can't get it out of my head and have to buy it regardless of cost
