 Carpet vs. hardwood floors
My husband and I are planning to move from our apt during the summer. The baby will be about 8 months old then. Right now we have hardwood floors. I went looking for carpet yesterday and do not know if it is worth it to carpet the room considering we are going to be moving.
Do any of you have hardwood floors in the babies room? Do you have a throw rug down as well? Let me know your thoughts on this one.

 Re: Carpet vs. hardwood floors
We have wood floors throughout most of the house - Nick is 13 months old and he does not seem to mind at all. In fact, I think he prefers it to carpet because he really enjoys throwing all of his toys onto the floor and hearing the loud noise they make!

 Re: Carpet vs. hardwood floors
Our condo is all hardwood. We have area rugs with padding underneath in the both the baby's room and the living room. My daughter is 6.5 months old, and I'm glad to have the area rugs -- she is in rolling stage, and doesn't do it gracefully. She basically gets up on her side and then falls flat on her back with a THUD.
