We have the 2 inch hexagon. Some love it some hate it because of the grout. I think the styles look very nice together.

we did a slate tile on the floor. Its 12x12 we ran on a diagnal pattern.
Its a blue/black color We did it with a similar to what was pposted a few posts up, it has a few different blues white marble and clear glass in it.

Is this your bathroom? We are renovating ours now and this is the tile we picked as well (even the glass is the same). Looks great!!

I recommend white slate tiles in square shape for your bathroom. White tiles give you classic look but for these tiles, you need proper cleaning.

This is almost exactly the bathroom that I did for my kids. Personally, I love it and it isn't to bad to keep clean.

We did a porcelain tile on the floor in the kitchen and bath that mimics hardwood. It looks really good and no one can tell its a tile. It's great for kitchen and bath because you can mop it easily and water isn't an issue. We have white subway tile in the bathroom, sorry I don't have a finished picture just yet. Still working!
ETA - it looks a little dirty and quite possibly is. We are a work in progress!
AND, I love the white hexagon tile. We had that in our apartment bathroom. I found it difficult to get the grout clean. Otherwise I loved the aesthetic!
