In my labor room I had my dh, mom and step dad (not by choice). I only wanted my dh and mom thank god I had to get a c-section and only dh was allowed in. I was soo uncomfortable through my whole labor time that my step dad was there. he kept makingwise cracks that contractions didnt look that painful. my suggestion is to have whoever you would feel most comfortable with.
and your DH and mother allowed this??
 to you..you are quite a women.
First baby I let my aunt be the #2 because like Michelle's sister,she'll never experience it.
This time around,only DH.
well DH didnt want it but didnt say anything to be nice and my mom it was her idea I guess she didnt realize how uncomfortable it was for me. I bit my tongue the whole time. This time around its only being my DH thank god

I'm having my Mom and DH. My Mom was my sisters Labor and delivery nurse for both of her children so I need to carry on the tradition. Besides, she's the only nurse I trust

I had my DH and sister there and that's how I wanted it from day 1. My sister is like the mother I never had and best friend all in one. I was a little nervous because I'd be on display, but it was an amazing experience I got to share with her and at the end, they could have been taking pics for US weekly and I wouldn't have cared.
Plus DH and her seemed like a good tag team for the long-azz labor period and I never felt alone...
Was it a great experience with DH, yes...but the three of us had a special experience together...we are all close.
