 How is it?

(This may be a silly question, but: Is it safe?!)

Do you have to season the stone first? or do you place them on there dry?

You just can't wash it with soap, only hot water... it comes out clean, nothing sticks to it..

 | Re: Pizza Baking Stone I use mine all the time and IMO, it works WAY better than the metal pizza tray I used to use. I find it really easy to roll out the dough right on the stone - i just put a little oil on it first. I think I used more oil on the dough the first few times to help season it.
You scrape off all the pieces of dough that stuck to it, then clean it with hot water.

The only thing I don't like about it is that it is heavy and sometimes I get a little nervous I will drop it when I take it out of the oven. I bought those super duper silicone oven mitts, and now I don't worry at all.

If it is PC, call your consultant or PC directly. They should replace it. My mom left her stone on the oven burners, accidentally, while they were on, and the direct heat caused them to crack- she was able to get them replaced.

Oh yeah, I have a stone but I haven't used it. After reading what everyone is doing with them, I guess I have to bust mine out!

I was told to use a little oil the first few times, but since then - no oil or cooking spray whenever I use it.
You can't use soap to wash it though, just water and the little scraper they supply you with.
