Looking for a weekend trip - Catskills Area
I want to take a weekend trip, look at the leaves, maybe see some old sites...any recommendations for hotels, etc?

I've never been there, but I saw Mohonk Moutain House on Great Hotels and it looked incredible.

good time of year to go apple picking and stuff- it would be fun end of Sept early October!

Mohonk is gorgeous and there is a lot of hiking and apple picking you can do in that area.

We are going this weekend with DH's company. Just informed him of this!!!! We are bringing the portable DVD player!!! But there are TV's for rental

Mohonk & Beekman Arms are great places. I also want to recommend The Lodge & Emerson Place at Catskill Corners in Mount Tremper.

I actually almost worked at Mohonk & The Lodge @ Catskill Corners - now Emerson Place.
If you're looking for foliage the peak weekend is Columbus Day Weekend, but no doubt everywhere is booked already.
