 | Bath time question my little girl freaks out when she takes a bath. as soon as i put her in the water she screams like ive never seen. the water is not to hot or cold as i test it. she is fine when i wash her hair though. is this normal? tuesday i put her feet in first to get her used to it but the same think she was wailing. |

 | Re: Bath time question Abby hates her bath. She has from day one and she will be 8 month tomorrow. Some kids love it and others don't. I hate giving her a bath because she cries but she needs to be clean.
We now take showers. I get in the shower and hold her while I wash her. She is still scared but not screaming. It is a pain though because DH has to be home so that he can get her out of the shower and change her while I get out of the shower. The things we do so our little ones don't cry.

 | Re: Bath time question Try putting a warm wash cloth on her belly once you put her in the tub..that worked like magic for my first daughter. It was like a blanket and seemed to calm her. |

 | Re: Bath time question Some babies don't like baths, at first. It will probably change in a couple months. My first didn't care for a bath until like 2-3 months while my second LOVES bath time since birth. Go figure.

This is what I do.. The first time Ryan got in the tub he screamed his head off, then got used to it and now has no problem with it. I put a washcloth over him to keep him warm and it works great.

 | Re: Bath time question I let the faucet run so their is calming noise in the back ground. I also put the wash cloth on her...keeps her warm and she likes to chew on it. I also give her a bath toy to chew on. Plus she LOVES the plastic cup I use to pour warm water on her. And I sing the same song for every bath....A you're Adorable
 B you're so Beautiful etc

We make it super quick depending on her mood and then I massage her with lotion. Make sure that she is not tired or hungry when you bathe her also. And like you said....make sure that her feet go in first so she is not surprised or gets the falling reflex.

 Good Luck
