I got the Medela Freestyle -- I just liked the reviews the best. My insurance covered it fully - you should definitely check with your insurance company to see if they cover any portion of the purchase!
My insurance company is USELESS to call. Literally useless when i call them. They can't answer questions, they making NOTHING easy for me. They give out wrong information ALL the time. This is GHI.
I called them.. they wouldn't tell me if it was covered, instead said I need to obtain a CPT number on my own and get back to them with the number so they could look it up. They told me to call my dr for it. I call the dr office and they tell me they don't have a list of those numbers. It's like a wild goose chase when i have to deal with GHI. Anyway I googled and Aetna had some CPT codes on their side. i called GHI back with the numbers and they couldn't find one of them in the system and the lady said i wasn't covered for the other one.
But I don't trust GHI's information. They give me WRONG information all the time (which has even resulted in me paying over $800 OOP for diabetes meds bc they messed up).
So I contacted Edgepark (which I learned about from on here... thankfully)... and I'm praying for the best. Edgepark was MUCH easier to deal with than GHI EVER is!!!
Come November I'm hoping to get rid of stupid GHI. Their customer service is atrocious. IDK what those people even do... because it certainly isn't service!!
Oh no, I guess I am going to have a real good time when I have to call them What is a CPT number anyway? You would think they could be a little more helpful.

The amount of time that it takes for the milk to start flowing. I had the pump in style for DS, and never used the letdown cycle, just turned it all the way up. I plan on buying the freestyle this time (DS was 4 years ago, and I got rid of the pump)-- I have heard great things- that it is faster and easier to use, also much smaller and hands free! This is important to me, as I pump at my desk. Hoping it will allow me to pump while I work! FYI, Baby Bargains has a pretty good section on pumps.
