What is the one thing you look forward to the most?

Aside from finally seeing your LO's face, what is the thing you most look forward to about meeting your baby?

For me it is hearing his cry. Every baby has a different cry and you will automatically know it is your baby. It sounds weird but I want to hear his voice. I cannot wait!

ETA - You are so right about the crying thing. It is embedded in your brain from the very first time you hear it. It really is amazing.
I can still remember knowing DC #1 was crying in the nursery a few hours after birth. I just KNEW it was my baby. Sure enough they wheeled my DC in still crying a few minutes later

Those are really the 2 biggies for me, seeing her face and hearing her first cry.

Something else I'm looking forward to is watching her sleep in my arms.

this time it is different, b/c it is my 2nd...but I can't wait to see my son have a little brother.

dh & i also miss having a newborn.....

...........oh and being off of work for a bit will be nice....I think.

Definitely finding out the sex.

We love being Team Green but would like to fast forward to when we have the "moment" in the delivery room.

I am most looking forward to that moment when she comes out, and they place her on my chest.

And, to see DH cry, he gets so emotional, I find it very endearing.

I think the biggest is seeing DH with him. I mean yeah, I can't wait to cuddle with him, but I am really excited about seeing DH be Dad.

Although I do agree with pp, not working for a little while is definitely looking better and better!

Is it bad that I don't have an answer to this? I am just overflowing with excitement in general! I really just can't wait to hold her .

I can't wait for everything!!! I am really looking forward to baby kisses and snuggles. I can't wait to hold him.

Inhaling my baby's scent and just snuggling!

To name a few
Dh being a dad
Holding her
Feeding her
Watching her sleep

It's actually something I won't personally get to experience. I can't wait for my DH to be able to go out to the waiting room to our families and announce the sex and name of the baby. I know what a proud moment that will be for him.

On a more personal note I can't wait to have our LO placed on my chest. I feel like it's such a special bonding moment.

to see what she looks like and holding her. I also am very curious to see how DD and DS react to a new baby, sort of excited and dreading it at the same time.

...and getting my body back.

Finding out sex. Holding baby in my arms for first time. For Xavier Dr had to use a vacuum so I had to wait a few minutes. I was stressing out hoping he was okay.

this is #2 for me, but what killed me the most with #1 was watching DH and DS curl up and sleep. DH big hairy arms gently cradling this tiny person...i can't think of it without tearing up

Finally picking out a name!! with #1 we had a name from about 6 months, this time we're still undecided.

I also can NOT wait to see her face, I'm dying to know what she looks like.

Also holding her, hearing her first cries and just the smell of a newborn

This time around, I am most excited and can not wait for the moment my DD meets her little brother. I get tears thinking of it now. For the past 9 months she has been talking to my belly, rubbing it, singing to it, helping me get everything baby ready and I am so excited for her moment !!!
